KALKAN

Kalkan, once a small fishing village, has lost none of its charm and character with white washed buildings lining the cobbled streets down to the harbour. The town is renowned for the fine and varied selection of restaurants and eateries with menus to suite every taste and pocket.

Whilst there is a local beach only ten minutes from the apartment and Patatra and Kaputas nearby, Kalkan has a host of beach clubs all accessible by free taxi or boat taxi. All offer the choice of total relaxation or for the more energetic, there is a variety of water activities.

Those who enjoy shopping will not be dissapointed. There is an excellent range of shops offering everything from clothing and jewellery to 'designer' goods and local arts and crafts
OUT AND ABOUT
For those interested in history, Kalkan is in the Lycian region with numerous ancient sites close by, including: Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, Tlos and Patara. Kekova, Demre, Myra, Phaselis,Olympos and Aspendos.
The harbour towns of Kas (25 mins) and Fethyie (1 hour) are also worth a visit.
